Aquatic and underwater medicine

Course description

At our centre we offer specialist training for divers. We run official basic life support and oxygen first aid courses from the Nautical and Fishery Training School of Catalonia (ECNPC), which are mandatory for professional divers under Catalan law (Decree 265/2003).

We also offer this training for recreational divers, clubs and diving schools. Although it is not compulsory in the recreational sector, we believe it is highly recommended!

In addition, our Master's, TES and TCEPC students study a module on initial care in emergencies in aquatic, subaquatic and mountain natural environments, as well as a module on intervention in rescue and salvage operations.

Thanks to agreements with the Spanish Society of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine and Coronary Units (SEMICYUC), we are a training centre for basic life support and AED instructors for organisations such as FEDAS, CMAS, PADI Europe, EFR, USP, SSI, DAN Europe and ESA Worldwide.
