At the Institute of Medical Studies we are a leading centre for specialised training in urgent care, emergencies and civil protection, with a career spanning over 30 years.

Our Master's Degree in Comprehensive Emergency and Urgent Care (90 ECTS credits), aligned with the European Higher Education Area, has trained hundreds of healthcare professionals from all over the world.

Furthermore, we go beyond conventional training. We are a leading centre for underwater and hyperbaric medicine, offering medical check-ups and consultations for recreational and professional divers, technical and forensic reports, and advice for diving companies and public and private healthcare institutions.

Also we design bespoke training programmes for a wide variety of groups, including medicine and nursing, firefighters, police officers, military personnel, divers, teachers and intervention teams, as well as courses open to the general public.

We are pioneers in training and specialisation in emergency psychology.

Our commitment to society is reflected in our preventive health and consultancy services for large events and/or highly complex competitions, construction work, or high-risk activities, such as hyperbaric tunnel boring machines in metro and railway projects.
